The Taunus Art Triennial exhibition format aims to provide a forum for professional artists living in the region and to give the public an insight into current developments in contemporary art. Artists from the Main-Taunus district, the Hochtaunus district and the Rheingau-Taunus district can apply for the exhibition.
On the subject of "Over Bridges"
Bridges always have a connecting element. They overcome obstacles and create connections - both as architectural structures and in a figurative sense, be it in interpersonal relationships or between religions, ideologies, cultures and nations. Building bridges develops empathy and understanding for the perspectives of others. Dialogue and cohesion in society are promoted. If bridges are torn down or demolished, often more than just a structure is broken - paths of understanding, trust or remembrance disappear.
Art acts as an important bridge - it succeeds in building bridges in different, sometimes surprising ways. Over bridges: The possibilities of art are diverse and vast.
On display are works by Verónica Aguilera Carrasco, Doris Bardong, Heidi Bereiter-Hahn, Doris Brunner, Sabine Dächert, Annette Euler, Kerstin Hebauf, Barbara Heier-Rainer, Ingrid Honneth, Ines A. Hudak, Gunda Lindner, Marion Michel, Edith Monschauer, Claudia Pense, Wanda Pratschke, Bianca Scheich, Annika Schulte, Clara Schuster, Seunghee Shin, Andrea Simon, Regina Streitenfeld, Doris Tofall, Harald Weber, Kai Wolf and Thomas Wunsch.
The Kunstverein Hofheim invites you to an artist talk in cooperation with the Stadtmuseum. The art historian and art mediator Pascal Heß talks to artists from the Taunus Art Triennial about their positions.

Michel Abdollahi: It is our country
In his book "Es ist unser Land. We must not leave Germany to the right", Michel Abdollahi addresses social cohesion and the situation of people with a history of migration. The book by the German-Iranian TV presenter, bestselling author and journalist is a plea for an open and tolerant society.

Trio SeZeh - Ensemble of the Bridges Chamber Orchestra
"Music connects" is the motto of the Bridges Chamber Orchestra, which was founded in Frankfurt am Main in 2019. The ensemble's trio 'SeZeh' presents the unique sound of string instruments in a very unusual way: with the Persian spiked violin Kamanche, a viola played in Arabic and the Central European cello. In this special line-up, Alireza Meghrazi (kamanche), Rabie Azar (viola) and Anka Hirsch (cello) play music from Bach to the Beatles, from Persian and Arabic music to jazz. The focus is on transcultural original compositions and arrangements in which traditional and classical Arabic and Persian music and jazzy improvisation meet classical string sounds.

Introduction to the game of bridge
Playing connects and builds bridges. The bridge club Main-Taunus Hofheim e.V. introduces the game of bridge on two Sundays. The offer is aimed at (re)beginners and experienced players. Come alone or with a friend, make new acquaintances and find out why this game inspires so many people of all ages.

Creative photography with Thomas Wunsch
In this workshop, the internationally active photographer Thomas Wunsch introduces participants to different areas of creative photography and teaches them about composition, post-processing of photographs and their presentation in exhibitions and photo books. The theoretical introduction will be followed by a practical part with exercises and a discussion of the results.

Painting: Across the bridge - letting silence flow
The artist Seunghee Shin invites you to a special evening: Participants will playfully experience how colors flow across a symbolic border - as a metaphor for transition, connection and crossing a bridge in one's own life. No previous experience is required; the focus is on the experience and not on the perfect result.

Intricate twists and turns - Artistic bridges made of foam and plaster
Master builders wanted! Together we will explore the exhibition and try out shapes and construction methods with floating noodles. Find out which bridge you would most like to create! Then it's off to the workshop: There, we use plaster bandages to transform the flexible foam rods into sturdy works of art that can be colorfully painted. At the end, you will hold your very own bridge sculpture in your hands!

Rethinking bridges: a creative tour
In the exhibition, we discover how many different ways bridges can be conceived and designed. We then create a collaborative work: we use pieces of cardboard to make a sculpture to take away, which we fill with our own words and thoughts. In this way, many individual ideas become a strong symbol of connection and cohesion.

A piece of me, a piece of you: an active tour
With exciting tasks, children discover the works of art in the exhibition in very different ways. In the practical part, the group builds a suspension bridge together, to which each child contributes an individually designed element. At the end, all the parts come together to form a colorful joint work and a visible symbol of cohesion and creativity is created.
